I thought about tackling the situation one of 2 ways to begin with. I thought about buying the 3 pulleys and a new belt, which I'll need anyway, and put that much back together. Then turn the motor through by hand and do a leak down test to see if I tipped any of the valves. It would be a miracle if I didn't. Or just pull it and get on with the tear down which would save me that much time if indeed I did tip the valves. I would just be that much further ahead. If I did get away with no damage then I would be done but I'm already mentally prepared to pull it so I guess I'll just go that route.
